The Cheviot Hills, from which this breed of sheep gets its name, form the border line between England and Scotland. The Cheviot Sheep Society was formed in 1890 and is one of the oldest sheep societies in existence.
Show of Prime Cheviot Hoggs
Harrison and Hetherington held the annual show and sale of Cheviot Prime hoggs at Carlisle on Monday 17th March 2008.
Twenty six pens were forward for show.
Judge Mr Haigh Murray (Dunbia) presented the following prizes:-

3rd W Little, Howes 47kg £75.50 purchased by Mr Robert Skelton.
